FAQ

Answers about install, activate & daily use

What is EHRPro?
EHRPro is Windows-installed clinic practice software for Indian GPs, clinics, and small hospitals (including those with an in-house Medical Store). It runs locally with MongoDB. Patient data stays on the clinic PC — it is not a cloud EHR SaaS.
How do I get started?
1) Create an account on the customer portal (https://ehrpro.in/customer) and get an EHRPRO license key (trial or paid). 2) Download the Windows installer. 3) Install on the clinic PC — the app opens Activate. 4) Enter your key (internet required). 5) Create the administrator account and save the one-time recovery code. 6) Login for daily use.
Is there a free trial inside the installer?
No. The Windows installer does not unlock a free trial by itself. A trial is only available if the customer portal issues a trial license key. You still install, activate with that key, then create your admin account.
Is patient data stored in the cloud?
No. Patient records stay on your clinic PC in a local MongoDB database. The website portal is for account, license, payment, and downloads — not for hosting your patient database.
Do I need internet every day?
No. After activation, day-to-day clinic use can work offline. You need internet to activate the license, renew/sync license status, and download updates from the portal.
How does license renewal work?
Pay or renew on the customer portal, then open EHRPro → License and use Sync/Renew so this PC picks up the updated entitlement.
Can I move EHRPro to another PC?
The license is machine-bound to the PC you activate. Contact support@ehrpro.in to unbind or transfer before activating on a new machine.
What is Quick OPD?
Quick OPD is the fast walk-in workflow: find or register a patient, prescribe, bill, and print without jumping through many screens.
What is GP Mode?
GP Mode is an optional mobile-friendly workflow for busy general practice days. The primary product remains the Windows desktop app.
What is Voice prescription?
Voice Rx lets you dictate prescription text using browser speech recognition in English, Hindi, or Gujarati. It is speech-to-text assistance — not LLM clinical diagnosis.
Does EHRPro include a Medical Store / pharmacy?
Yes. Medical Store covers POS, OPD prescriptions, IPD medicine issue, sales, returns, customers, reports, plus Medicine Master / inventory. Doctor and Medical Store dispense modes are supported, with GST on pharmacy lines.
How do backups work?
Use Backup in the app to download a local Backup ZIP to your drive or USB. Restore from that ZIP on the same product when needed. This is local backup — not multi-tenant cloud sync of patient data.
I forgot the desktop admin password. What do I do?
Use the one-time recovery code you saved when creating the administrator account. If that is lost, contact support@ehrpro.in. The website portal password reset does not unlock the desktop app admin account.
Which roles can I create?
Typical roles include admin, doctor, receptionist, and medical store manager — so front desk, OPD, and pharmacy can work with appropriate access.
What platforms does EHRPro support?
EHRPro is a Windows desktop application (Windows 10/11). Market and support focus is Windows. Do not expect a Mac/Linux equal product today.
How do I get support?
Email support@ehrpro.in, call or WhatsApp +91 8733930330, or use the customer portal. Include your clinic name, EHRPro version, and a screenshot when possible.
Who is EHRPro for?
EHRPro is built for solo GPs, independent clinics, and small hospitals that want Windows-installed EHR software with patient data stored locally on the facility PC.
Can I activate offline with a .lic file?
Yes. You can activate online with your EHRPRO portal key, or import an offline .lic file when one is provided for your facility.
Does EHRPro include Token Display and Kiosk?
Yes. Token Display powers a waiting-area TV board with live clock and approx turn time. Token Kiosk supports self-service walk-in tokens. Online token booking is also available.
Are SMS, WhatsApp, or Email reminders available?
Optional SMS, WhatsApp, and Email patient reminders can be enabled for your facility where configured. In-app follow-up tracking is always part of the Follow-ups module.
What is the difference between the EHRPro plans?
All EHRPro plans include the same modules; they differ only in license duration: Starter plan (6-month license) and Business plan (1-year license). See the Pricing page for current prices.
